Steps to Control Hi, I live in Alberta and I have debt from 3 credit card companies since and student loans. Recently I was called frequently by them all regarding my unpaid required minimum amount for more than six months and outstanding balances. I noticed I was charged with massive interests, fees, and penalties. I was told that I would have a bad credit score, and could lose my ability to get a mortgage, a car, and hired by a company. After researching into this today, now I regret having claimed the debt and going into the details of my story of woe.

Obesity by Mike Allen Hello all. Just want to say quickly that the main issue with obesity has more to do with what’s in the food we’re consuming more so than the total caloric intake. In short dieting or attempting to limit calories simply does not work and will ultimately lead to failure. We need to make better food choices and educate ourselves on what we are putting into our bodies. Meal timing is also a big factor in controling weight and regaining health.

Besides the many environmental benefits, the promise of energy security, the silky-smooth driving experience with instant torque available without delay, and low maintenance, one of the best characteristics of electric vehicles is how little they cost to operate. Just as with gasoline cars, some electric vehicles are more efficient than others, and the average EV needs about 30 kWh of electricity to power the vehicle for miles.

The Chevrolet Bolt is currently the most efficient electric car and has a combined consumption rating of 28 kWh per miles. The average cost of electricity in the US is 12 cents per kWh. Tesla Model S charging The cost of electricity throughout the US varies much more than gasoline does, but its cost over time is much more stable. Gasoline prices frequently spike up and down, but in the long run they always goes up.

Electricity costs do eventually increase also, but not nearly at the pace of gasoline. Plus, with fewer moving parts, EVs cost much less to maintain. Simple measures like using a programmable thermostat, the use of LED light bulbs, replacing older appliances with Energy Star rated ones and turning off unnecessary lighting can make a big difference. In fact, five watt light bulbs left on continuously for a year use nearly the same amount of energy as it takes to power an electric car 15, miles!

In fact, according to Premier Clark and the brains of the outfit, Deputy Dreamer, Rich Coleman, thanks to Liberal policies of perfection, we had absolutely Sooper-Dooper times.

BC Hydro HQ During this period, Hydro has been borrowing large sums to pay yearly dividends to the Minister of Finance for his annual cooking of the books to make it appear that BC has a balanced budget, a noteworthy piece of fiction in a government noted for fiscal legerdemain. Unforeseen catastrophes aside, there are only three possible answers as to how Hydro could lose all this money: Moreover, never forget that this is a tightly controlled Crown Corporation and the government runs it using its own pet poodles.

My landlord has advised me that he is looking to sell the unit and we have the opportunity to purchase it privately. I have been going back and forth on the price however with B20 coming in and the risk of higher interest rates, the potential for increase in condo fees and the overall view of the Canadian economy I wanted to get your thoughts.

This hard won knowledge has been gained trying to provide a potable water supply to my house. We were incredibly naive when we bought 10 rural acres outside of Kamloops just over 10 years ago. The property already had a well on it but we never bothered to test it prior to purchasing the land. Our kids were in cloth diapers at this time, and not being able to finish a load of laundry a day was challenging!

We quickly abandoned this first well and dug a surface well on our property. A surface well can be significantly less expensive to setup than a deep well, and we could not afford to drill another deep well at the time. This well provided adequate water but was not without problems; the water level fluctuated seasonally so that on a couple of occasions the well was close to going dry, and our ground water had a high iron content that resulted in heavy reddish stains in all of our water fixtures.

Stephen our son also contracted a campylobacter infection soon after switching to this well, a serious concern with contaminated surface water. In fact, in BC it is no longer permissible to dig new surface wells for residential water systems, you are required to use deep wells. I do not necessarily agree with these new regulations; a surface well is perfectly safe … once you know what you are doing.

We pumped the water from this well into a gallon cistern underground water tank. During the night when we used no water the cistern would slowly be refilled from the well.

Hydro from Municipal Water Supply Myth 4: Residential-scale microhydro-electric systems have the reputation of being the holy grail of home renewable-energy RE systems. While they lack some of the hype, magic, and bling of solar-electric photovoltaic systems, microhydro systems are a simple technology that most people can understand…at least in general. Modern microhydro equipment comes from proven technology based on designs that have changed very little over the decades.

In it was converted to condominiums and renamed the Electra Building. The mandate of the Power Commission was to amalgamate existing power and generating facilities across the province not served by BC Electric, and to extend service to the many smaller communities without power. Power was generated by coal-fired steam plants. Sensible growth and expansion of the power, streetcar and coal gas utilities meant that BC Electric was a major company in the region.

An English financier named Robert Horne-Payne had secured investment funding and created a large company from what had been a patchwork of small regional electric railway and steam, hydro and diesel plants. Also about this time, sawmills and factories converted to electricity, further increasing the demand for electric power.
